Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, wound management and treatment ordered by the supervising physician or non-physician provider. The Wound Care nurse must possess specialized skills in the care and management of patients with impaired healing of wounds and must have or agree to pursue a certification in wound care by an appropriate certifying body. Job Requirements Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Preferred: Bachelor s Degree in Nursing Experience Previous nursing experience preferred Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills. Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment. Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
